PostSubject: Astral Travel (The Basics)   Tue Aug 28, 2012 5:23 am

In this part we shall discuss briefly and generally what Astral Travel is in a nutshell. Astral Travel is an interpretation of any form of out-of-body experience (OBE) that assumes the existence of an "astral body" separate from the physical body and capable of travelling outside it. Astral projection or travel denotes the astral body leaving the physical body to travel in the astral plane. We all have astral bodies that can travel anytime we want, if we learn how to control it and master it. We can experience different things, go beyond places and have more knowledge and enlightenment because of this. In astral plane there is so much difference between the physical world and the astral plane. For example: time does not exist on the astral plane. Not like how we count we minute in this world, time exists on a different level in the astral. For time is faster because when you travel in the astral plane you travel at the same speed as light. It has the same concept of a dream, your longest dream can last 25 seconds this is because the images we see are in our brain and is interpreted like the speed of light. The same reason why Physics does not apply in the astral plane, as we have discussed above we travel with the speed of light but on the laws of our physical world light can be bent if a solid object traps it or obscures it’s way. Though this law is broken in the astral plane, our astral bodies can move through any object such as walls, buildings, any tangible object. We can neither affect an object nor can an object affect us and because of this the law of gravity does not exists too. This is the same logic why we travel faster because there is no gravity that pins our bodies to the ground. On the astral plane we do have to note that there is no mask when we are in it already, we see everything as it is. With that said, entities, other beings are fully known and can be seen in this state, though humans cannot see us unless they are sleeping or they may have a vague inkling of it in their dreams. Animals like dogs, cats and others do see us because not like people, they really on other senses that links them to other beings/entities which in turn makes them see astral bodies.

Now comes the part of how does it happen? In our physical life the conscious part of the brain is the most active, we have always relied on our conscious part that the subconscious is rarely activated. In a dream state our conscious goes into a lower state of activity than the subconscious and so the subconscious goes active. In astral projection though we try to push the subconscious into the conscious maintaining this activation so that we can be capable of using our subconscious allowing us to separate ourselves from the physical body and also trying to activate the conscious constantly to maintain awareness and control to what happens to us instead of being unable to control it which happens in a dream state. Astral projection happened between the alpha and theta phase of sleeping. Alpha is the first stage where we start to doze off, the second is beta phase where you are neither asleep nor awake. This is the part where it has to be mastered and brought into control so that we are neither awake or asleep to maintain the projection of the body. The possibilities in the astral plane is limitless. When we are projected we are not seen through the naked eye because we are more like glass, or a kind of vapour, we do however can manage to see a real look for ourselves though at some point people would look like ghosts and in some cases someone who was projected saw that he has no legs or hands or any reflection in the mirror. These are but normal and it one should not be scared, if a person can bring it to practice he can possess the image he would like to. When we astral project the body is bound to the astral self with an imaginary line, some people see it and others just feel it. Think of it as an umbilical cord or a string that connects the astral body and the third eye. With this in mind, one should not fear of not being able to return to the body, there is no possibility that someone could get stuck in a dreamland like a place in Alice in Wonderland. A simple noise or a mosquito bit could awaken the physical body thus the return of the astral self. With these, one should not fear for your life. Having fear in the astral may lead to the manifestation in before your eyes which can be considered by then as an imagination of one’s own mind. The mind is powerful and with proper training one can distinguish reality from imagination. Further topic on this subject will be discussed in our next articles.

Hi i would like to add to that.

Astral projection can be mastered if we are able to retain cognitive thought whilst asleep, the key to that is 'relaxation', you need to train the mind to know when you unconscious. Its called Lucid dreaming which is the first phase of astral projection you actually might wake up if you realize your in a dream and the time you get is only a few seconds.

1. Meditate before bed for 30 minutes
2. When you are relaxed enough go to sleep
3. Make sure you maintain your state of mind
4. fall asleep.

Actually its a little more technical you need to fall asleep slowly it helps if you have assistance to fall asleep perhaps your coven can assist. The transition between the 'awake state' needs to be progressively 'stepped' to blur the edges of awake and sleep state so that at one point you are fully awake and at the end you will be partly asleep.

The person assisting you will tell you what to do here is an example script:

Assistant: [Counting to ten] "you will lie down close your eyes"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "Tense your muscles in your body for ten seconds"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "Release your muscles slowly"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "Repeat"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "Repeat"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "You are now relaxed"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "Be mindful of your body"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "imagine you are weightless"
Assistant: [Counting to five] "Breath in deeply"
Assistant: "Exhale slowly"
Assistant: [Counting to five] "Breath in deeply"
Assistant: "Exhale slowly"
Assistant: [Counting to five] "Breath in deeply"
Assistant: "Exhale slowly"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "you are deeply relaxed"
Assistant: [Counting to ten] "you are falling asleep"...
Assistant: [Counting to ten] begins to play Theta binaural beats

You also will experience if you do it properly a hypnogogic state buzzing dizzy weightless sensation the more you breath the better it works try to help each to fall alseep slowly you will also assist the sleeper by placing hypnotic suggestion that they are still awake.

The result is a deep state of relaxation which if you follow the above technique for a couple of hours before sleeping and after they fall asleep waking and speaking to sleeper after they have had four hours sleep this will help you remember your dream and make it lucid. Set your alarm to 4 hours after you fall asleep.

After you wake up, stay up for an hour with your mind focused on the dream When you think you have remembered the dream, return to your bed, imagining that you are in your previous dream, and becoming aware that you are dreaming. Do this until you think that it has "sunk in."

Go back to sleep carry your awareness into the dream. When you wake up in the morning stay up for an hour go back to sleep again carrying that awareness into dream state. Try to meditate into a calm but focused state. and wake the sleeper up after half an hour and try to recall the dream.

Thats the first stage of astral projection its difficult at first but when you do this all the time its easy anything is possible in lucid dreaming but first try to be aware of the dream. Then after a few months you will be able to create things in your dream.
